Poland expels 63 foreign nationals following concert disturbances

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced Poland will expel 57 Ukrainians and six Belarusians for instigating disturbances during a Warsaw rap concert, according to Euractiv.

The individuals face removal “voluntarily or by force” following “disturbances, aggressive behaviour and certain provocations” at Belarusian performer Max Korzh’s event on Saturday. Tusk emphasised that all nationals must respect Polish law.

Footage from the 70,000-attendee concert at the national stadium showed spectators rushing the arena perimeter. Police confirmed 109 detentions for offences including drug possession, assaulting security personnel, carrying pyrotechnics, and trespassing.

Social media images circulated showing a concertgoer displaying the banned flag of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), a Second World War-era guerrilla faction that collaborated with Germany. Police spokesman Robert Szumiata confirmed evidence collection:

“We saw that various flags and symbols were displayed there. We collected all this evidence and sent it to the prosecutor’s office,” Szumiata said.

Authorities are analysing whether symbols violated Poland’s prohibition on fascist imagery. The expulsions underscore Poland’s maintaining solidarity with Ukraine while enforcing domestic security protocols.
