Polls show: Rishi Sunak’s party gaining fewer than 100 seats

New analysis shows the Conservative Party will only win 98 seats at the next election, falling behind Labour, POLITICO reported.

A new poll shows that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party is on course to win fewer than 100 seats at the next election, while the Labour Party is likely to win a landslide victory.

The seat-by-seat analysis, based on a survey of 15,000 voters, shows that Sunak’s ruling party wins in just 98 constituencies compared to the Labour Party’s 468 constituencies, according to the Sunday Times.

On the other hand, a poll conducted by Survation on behalf of campaign group Best for Britain shows Keir Starmer’s Labour Party with 45 per cent of the total vote, 19 points ahead of the Tories.

Reform UK, the right-wing populist party set up by Nigel Farage, is trailing with 8.5 percent and seven seats, while the Liberal Democrats have 22 seats.

More dramatic results were seen in Wales and Scotland, where the Conservatives will see a complete rout without winning any seats. According to the analysis, the Scottish National Party won 41 seats, while Plaid Camry won two seats.
