Prince Harry believes his father’s cancer diagnosis could “reunify” the royal family

Prince Harry has expressed hope of a reunification with his family after his father King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer.

Prince Harry said in an interview with the Good Morning America programme that he believes his father’s cancer diagnosis could “reunify” the royal family.

“Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

Harry also revealed that he was “grateful” for the opportunity to visit his father after he was diagnosed with cancer, and added that he loves his family. He told GMA host Will Reeve:

“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”

Harry was interviewed by GMA after recently visiting his father in the UK. He flew to the UK from Los Angeles last week and spent half an hour chatting with the royal during his visit.

It is believed to have been their first face-to-face conversation in 15 months.

The Sussexes have been spending time with Will in Canada as part of their three-day trip to the Invictus Games. GMA also reported that Harry will be discussing the possibility of becoming a US citizen.
