Prince Harry could be deported from US for drug use – Trump

According to former US President Donald Trump, Prince Harry could be deported from the country if he lied about taking drugs on his US visa application, Politico reported.

We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.

Trump spoke out about the visa drama engulfing Prince Harry in a preview of an interview with GB News, which would air on Tuesday night. The former president stated that the royal family member, who lived at present in California, should not receive special treatment.

Prince Harry’s visa status has been at the centre of a legal dispute since the US think tank Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) last year for accessing his immigration data.

Applicants for some US visas are usually required to disclose whether they have ever taken drugs, and this can result in their application being denied. Other public figures have faced problems entering the United States due to reported drug use.

In his memoir, Harry admitted to using various drugs and psychedelics, including cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms, but it was unclear whether he mentioned that in his visa application.

Detractors in the US and the UK have come out against Harry and his wife Meghan Markle after their scandalous separation from the royal family and move to the US.

Earlier this month, a federal judge ruled that the DHS must hand over Harry’s visa documents so a judge can review them and decide whether they should be disclosed. On Sunday, lawyers for the agency requested more time to find the records.
