Prince William shares personal message to “the most incredible wife & mother” as he wishes “remarkable” Kate happy birthday

Prince William praised the Princess of Wales’ strength after a tumultuous year, congratulating her on her 43rd birthday on social media on Thursday and calling her an amazing wife and mother.

Kate Middleton celebrates her birthday on January 9. To mark the occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account posted a new photo of her.

In the black and white photo, the birthday girl poses against the wall in a white blouse, blazer and jeans. The image was completed with a chequered scarf. HELLO! magazine reports that the shot was taken by Matt Porteous in Windsor last summer. The photo is accompanied by a congratulatory message written on behalf of Prince William.

William wrote in a joint message with their three children:

“To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W”

The birthday wishes also came via the monarch family’s official media accounts, which read, “Happy Birthday Princess of Wales!” followed by an emoji with a birthday cake.

Members of the royal family often present black and white photos on joyous occasions. For example, such shots appeared in the social networks of the Prince and Princess of Wales on the 13th anniversary of their wedding, April 29, and on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023.

They also decided to make the family Christmas card in black and white in 2023. Last summer, the couple congratulated their eldest son, George, on his 11th birthday with a black and white portrait.

In recent years, the princess has regularly photographed the royal family and these portraits have been published on the royals’ birthdays. In 2019, she became an honorary member of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, and in 2021 she published a photo book. Later, the Imperial War Museum in London hosted the exhibition “Generations: portraits of holocaust survivors,” where two works by Kate Middleton were exhibited at once.

In March 2024, the Princess of Wales revealed she had cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. In September, she confirmed she was returning to work after completing a course of chemotherapy.
