Former president Carles Puigdemont accused on X the Catalan government of co-operating with Spain in a way detrimental to Catalans.
All the green traffic lights, the sleazy publishing houses and the commissioned reports that can be devoted to them will not be able to cover up the true ‘normality’ that causes the dependency that all Catalans suffer from.
Puigdemont claimed that Catalonia’s dependence on Spain “unites independenceists and those who are not: that of contempt, mistreatment, tax inequality.”
Yes, there is a Catalonia that has returned: the one of complicit and silent elites, the one of the media that silences or minimises the problems, the one that goes to Madrid and returns empty-handed.
He said that Spain was leaving Catalans “without representation in the European Parliament.” Moreover, the former president accused the railway company Renfe Operadora of “offering a service unworthy of a country that pays so many taxes to Spain.”
