Russian President Vladimir Putin met with journalists on Thursday during a news conference, Russian media reported.
During the press conference, Putin discussed cooperation with neighbouring countries, inflation, and the use of Oreshnik missiles against Ukrainian commanders.
Russia has already been attacked twice with ATACMS missiles after using Oreshnik.
However, he noted that damage from ATACMS missiles fired by Ukraine against Russia’s Kursk region was “minimal.” Discussing the recent retaliatory strike on the Ukrainian military plant Pivdenmash, Putin confirmed that Russia could use Oreshnik missiles to strike decision-making centres in Kyiv.
Besides strikes with Oreshnik missiles, Putin reminded that Russia would not let Ukraine obtain nuclear weapons.
If the country with which we are currently engaged in hostilities becomes a nuclear power, what should we do? In this case, we will take and use […] all destruction means available in Russia.
Putin also said that Russia was still ready for talks over Ukraine on the previous terms.
