Putin to visit North Korea as relations deepen

North Korea says Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit soon as the countries seek to improve relations, according to Bloomberg.

KCNA reported that Putin told Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui that he was grateful for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un invitation and that he would go to Pyongyang soon.

Choe Son Hui was in Russia from 15 to 17 January to enhance “strategic and tactical cooperation” between the two countries.

Moscow is eager to strengthen relations with allies and thanked North Korea “for extending full support and solidarity to the stand of the Russian government and people on the special military operation in Ukraine,” KCNA said.
