In Madrid, rallies are going to be held for several days due to a political summit led by the Spanish right-wing party Vox.
Political activists are holding protests in Madrid today, 18 May, and tomorrow, 19 May, in response to a political summit led by Spanish right-wing party Vox in the city.
The summit will reportedly be attended by representatives of various right-wing parties across Europe, leading several Spanish left-wing organisations to lead protests condemning the summit. Several thousand people are likely to attend.
Argentina’s President Javier Milei arrived in Spain yesterday for a three-day visit and is expected to attend an event to launch the Vox party’s European election campaign. He is expected to speak at Madrid’s Palacio Vistalegre on Sunday.
Other leaders expected in the city this weekend are Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, as well as former French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen.
The European elections will take place from Thursday, 6 June to Sunday, 9 June and around 400 million people are expected to vote.
