Russia rejects freezing Ukrainian conflict

Russia categorically rejects any options for freezing the conflict in Ukraine, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin has told journalists after the 20th meeting of the meeting of heads of security and intelligence services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Russia rejects freezing the conflict in Ukraine according to Korean scenario

Answering questions from the media, Naryshkin said:

“If we talk about discussions and proposals regarding the freezing of the conflict, I would say that Russia categorically rejects any freezing of the conflict – under the Korean scenario, under any other option.”

Naryshkin also noted that Russia wants to establish a firm peace for years to come in the situation around Ukraine.

Volodin thanked the developers of “Oreshnik”

Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin thanked the developers of the Oreshnik IRBM at a plenary session of the parliamentary chamber, calling it a shield of the Motherland.

Volodin said during a plenary session of the State Duma:

“Let’s thank the developers of the latest Oreshnik missile system, engineers, workers, scientists. This is the shield of our Motherland, a weapon that maintains world peace. Colleagues, let’s express our gratitude and our support to them.”

Peskov called the idea of transferring nuclear weapons to Kyiv irresponsible

The idea of transferring nuclear weapons to Kyiv is irresponsible and is proposed by people with a poor understanding of reality, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman told reporters:

“This is absolutely irresponsible reasoning by people who probably have a poor understanding and idea of reality and who do not feel a shred of responsibility when making such statements.”

Peskov also drew attention to the fact that such proposals are made anonymously.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg, citing its own sources, reported that Britain delivered dozens of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine a few weeks ago. This happened for the first time since Prime Minister Keir Starmer took office.

At the same time, the deliveries of missiles were not publicly reported. They were made after the Ukrainian Armed Forces ran out of long-range missiles.

According to the agency’s sources, the missiles were sent to Ukraine before the recent decision by Britain and the US to allow Kyiv to launch long-range projectiles at targets inside Russia.

The launch of missiles at Ukraine is a fair response by Russia to the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict by NATO, analysts said.
