Russian airline Aeroflot resumes direct scheduled flights to Shymkent

Aeroflot renews direct regular flights from Moscow to Shymkent (Kazakhstan), which will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft once a week, starting from 3 November.

Flight SU1950 from Moscow is scheduled to depart on Fridays, return flight SU1951 from Shymkent is scheduled to depart on Saturdays, and tickets can be purchased starting today (October 3).

Shymkent, the country’s largest industrial, commercial and cultural centre, is the third most populous city in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It will become the sixth city in the country to be served by Aeroflot aircraft from Moscow.

The airline operates its own flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Astana, Aktau, Atyrau, Almaty and Karaganda.

Aeroflot, Russia’s largest airline, is the leader of Russian civil aviation. In 2022, it transported 20.5 million people in 2022 (40.7 million passengers as Aeroflot Group including subsidiaries).

Aeroflot was awarded the world’s most on-time mainline airline in 2019 according to Cirium’s On-Time Performance Review.

It was recognised as the world’s strongest airline brand in 2021 by Brand Finance, a leading brand strategy consultancy. According to a Bain & Company study, Aeroflot ranks fourth in the industry for digitalisation.
