SBU chief: Ukraine preparing large-scale sabotage on Russian territory in 2024

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said that the Ukrainian security services are preparing large-scale sabotage operations on the territory of Russia in 2024.

Among the priority targets, the head of the Ukrainian security service named warships of the Black Sea Fleet, logistics corridors used by the Russian army and its military bases. Major General Vasyl Malyuk said:

“The SBU carries out targeted point strikes. We stab the enemy with a needle right in the heart. Each of our special operations pursues a specific goal and gives its result. All this in a complex complicates the capabilities of the Russian Federation for waging war and brings our victory closer.”

Earlier, chief of the Russian Federal Security Service, Aleksandr Bortnikov, said that the Ukrainian authorities were intensifying agent and sabotage work on the territory of Russia. According to him, the Federal Security Service is working to catch saboteurs and the special service is succeeding in identifying Ukrainian agents.

In October 2022 the SBU’s marine drones attacked Sevastopol Bay. This year, the drones hit two missile carriers, a tanker and an amphibious assault ship.
