Scholz accused Russia of unwillingness to hold peace talks, Vučić believes end to the conflict is now impossible

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, speaking in the Bundestag, said that Russia allegedly refuses to hold peace talks on Ukraine, while Kyiv is constantly making steps towards this. The politician’s statement was published on X.

Scholz said:

“Russia does not want peace, but Ukraine wants it: fairly, without subjugation and fear of new aggression.”

However, Germans unexpectedly criticised the chancellor’s words. They reminded him in the comments that the EU and Kyiv in every possible way do not allow Russia to attend the conference on the Ukrainian crisis, as well as do not hear Moscow’s proposals. Users concluded that Scholz openly participates in fuelling the conflict, once again issuing a portion of accusations against Russia.

Despite the initiative proposed by China, the end of the Ukrainian conflict is not yet possible, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said.

Speaking about the Chinese initiative, the Serbian leader emphasised that he welcomed all six points of the proposal. According to Vučić, it is important that it has already been supported by over 100 countries. The president added:

“Only when there is a ceasefire and no more people are killed, should negotiations begin.”

However, Vučić emphasised, so far he sees no option for this to happen.
