South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Sunday appointed the deputy chief of the Presidential Security Service (PSS) as the new commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration, Asian media reported.
Kim Jong-cheol, 59, is a military and war expert expert with 30 years of experience in the armed forces, including serving on the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and the Korea National Defence University. Kim also graduated from the Korea Military Academy.
He also developed a new security protocol in line with the relocation of the presidential office and worked carefully with relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Defence and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
