Three members of the “Eagles of the Whirlwind,” the military wing of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), died in southern Lebanon on Sunday while confronting Israeli forces.
The SSNP identified the victims as Anwar Al-Hissiyan (born 10th March 2000), Ali Amin (born 14th August 2005), and Ahmed Darwish (born 1st January 1996). The party stated that the men were carrying out their “national duty” as part of ongoing resistance efforts in support of Palestine.
The SSNP did not provide further details about the clashes or the circumstances of their deaths.
On 27th November, a ceasefire was announced between Hezbollah and Israel, ending almost 13 months of fighting. However, the truce has been violated multiple times. Since then, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon have killed 21 people.
