Trump found guilty on all 34 charges in New York hush money trial

A jury in New York found former US President Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges, according to AP News.

Trump became the first former US president convicted on criminal charges. The 12-member jury reached their verdict after two full days of deliberations. As a result, they found Trump guilty of concealing a $130,000 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

The Republican leader wanted to prevent her story about their alleged affair during the 2016 presidential election from being published and included as a business expense.

However, Trump pleaded not guilty after leaving the courtroom.

We didn’t do a thing wrong. I’m a very innocent man. We’ll keep fighting. We’ll fight till the end and we’ll win because our country’s gone to hell. We will fight for our Constitution. This is long from over.

Trump also blamed Joe Biden for his legal turmoil by making claims against the incumbent US president.

“Our whole country is being rigged right now. This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent.”

Meanwhile, Biden posted a simple message on X about the upcoming election.

There’s only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: At the ballot box.

Now since the jury found Trump guilty, he must convince Americans that he deserves a second term in the White House. The 2024 presidential election will take place on November 5.

Trump’s sentencing is set for 11 July, just days before his official nomination as his party’s presidential candidate at the Republican National Convention. The meeting will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from July 15 to 18.

At the same time, Biden will officially become his party’s presidential nominee at the Democratic National Convention. The event will take place in Chicago, Illinois, from August 19 to 22.
