Trump says Epstein “stole” young women from his Mar-a-Lago resort

US president of Donald Trump said that Jeffrey Epstein kidnapped Virginia Giuffre and other young women who worked at a spa in his Mar-a-Lago club, US media reported on Wednesday.

“People were taken from the spa and offered jobs. In other words, they disappeared,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he returned from Scotland to Washington.

“Other people were complaining, “This young man is taking people out of the spa.” I didn’t know about it,” Trump continued.

“When I found out about it, I told him, “Listen, we don’t want you taking our people, whether they’re from spas or not. I don’t want him taking people away. And he was fine. But shortly after that, he did it again, and I told him, “Get out,” the US president concluded.

During the interview, Trump was asked if Giuffre, Epstein’s accuser who committed suicide in April this year at the age of 41, was among these women. Giuffre claimed that Ghislaine Maxwell, when she was 17, recruited her to work in the locker room at Mar-a-Lago in 2000. According to Giuffre, Maxwell brought her to Epstein’s house for a massage. However, Maxwell denies these allegations.

“I don’t know. I think she worked at a spa. Yes, he stole her. And by the way, she had no complaints about us, none whatsoever,” Trump replied.

Earlier, Donald Trump, commenting on allegations of ties to the notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein, said he had cut off communication with him when he poached his employees.

On July 19, Trump asked the US Department of Justice to release all available testimony from the grand jury in the Epstein case. However, on July 23, a Florida court rejected this request, prompting Trump to express his dissatisfaction on July 28. The US president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
