US President Donald Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for his first state visit since taking office, Arab media reported.
According to journalists, Trump’s plane landed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Accompanied by influential American business leaders, including Tesla CEO and his adviser Elon Musk, Trump will first visit Riyadh, where the Saudi-American Investment Forum is taking place.
During his visit to Arab countries, Trump plans to sign a number of deals worth a total of $1 trillion. In Saudi Arabia, the White House chief plans to sign agreements on arms supplies, as well as deals in the energy and mineral resources sectors.
In Qatar, a deal with Boeing will be finalised, and an agreement will be signed for the purchase of American MQ-9 Reaper drones.
After Saudi Arabia Trump will visit Qatar and the UAE. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent are also taking part in the trip.
The main focus of the trip will be on developing investment co-operation with Arab monarchies, as well as discussing defence and security issues, including the situations in Gaza, Yemen and Ukraine.
