Turkish Airlines flew 83.4M passengers in 2024

The number of passengers carried by Turkish Airlines rose 2.1 per cent year-on-year to 83.4 million in 2024, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

Turkey’s flagship carrier handled 31.7 million international passengers, up 6.4 per cent, the statement said.

The load factor fell 0.4 percentage points to 82.2 percent year-on-year in 2024, the company said, adding that it stood at 81.8 percent for international flights and 85.8 percent for domestic flights.

Turkish Airlines’ cargo traffic has also increased. “While TA flights carried 1.7 million tonnes of cargo in 2023, 2 million tonnes of cargo were delivered to destinations in the same period last year, i.e. a 20.6 per cent increase was recorded,” the airline, considered Turkey’s “most expensive brand,” stated.

At the same time, Turkish Airlines had 492 aircraft in its fleet at the end of December 2024.
