Two Hezbollah members killed in clashes with Israeli forces

Lebanese group Hezbollah released a statement confirming clashes with Israeli troops that killed Hasan Abdunnabi Tileys and Ali Hussain Harb.

Earlier on Friday, Hezbollah said it carried out several attacks on Israeli military targets along the country’s southern border. The Israeli army confirmed the clashes and said Hezbollah attacks killed one of its soldiers and seriously wounded another.

The Israeli army attacked a number of Hezbollah targets between midnight and Saturday morning, including operational infrastructure and a military compound, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement.

At least 123 Hezbollah members have been killed since clashes with Israeli forces began on 8 October and moreover, 26 Lebanese civilians, five Israeli civilians and seven Israeli soldiers have also been killed in the clashes.

Tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border reached their highest level since 2006 amid intermittent exchanges of fire between the Lebanese Hezbollah group and Israeli troops. Tensions on the border have been particularly high since 7 October.
