Ukrainian forces to face “difficult decisions on withdrawal” from some areas – Pentagon

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would face “difficult decisions on withdrawal from a number of territories” due to the lack of congressional approval of new US military aid.

Singh suggested that Kyiv might have to make strategic decisions to withdraw troops in order to reinforce its lines of defence.

Now Ukraine has to make strategic decisions to withdraw from certain areas to strengthen its defence lines.

The Pentagon spokesman also emphasised that a decision by Congress “to approve additional funding so that we can continue to provide weapons packages” would be the best way out of the situation, as Kyiv was facing a lack of success on the front lines.

“These are really difficult, difficult decisions that they have to make because we cannot provide them with the necessary capabilities and systems because we do not have such permission from Congress.”
