UK’s Princess of Wales in remission from cancer

Princess Catherine of Wales said on Tuesday that her cancer has gone into remission but she needs time to make a full recovery.

Prince William’s spouse stated:

“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

She thanked everyone who had supported her and her family during her illness.
On March 22, 2024, Kate Middleton revealed that she is undergoing the early stages of preventative chemotherapy. Prince William’s wife said the cancer was discovered during tests done after abdominal surgery.

On September 9, the princess announced that she had completed her treatment. She called the past nine months an incredibly difficult time. Kate Middleton noted that she is now focused on making sure she is in remission for as long as possible.

Princess Catherine of Wales was born on January 9, 1982. In 2011, she married the eldest son of the King of the United Kingdom, Prince William, becoming the Duchess of Cambridge. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, she received the title Princess of Wales, as her husband became Crown Prince.
