Up to 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers may have been injured in a strike on a Ukrainian training ground

The Russian army has fired allegedly from Iskander and Tornado missile systems at the Selidovo training ground in Donetsk Region, where Ukrainian servicemen were holding exercises, Ukrainian and Russian Telegram channels reported.

Earlier, Ukrainian military analysts reported in their Telegram channels that more than 1,500 soldiers of the Ukrainian army would undergo combat training at the Selidovo training range in order to try to unblock Avdiivka in a few days.

At the time of the rocket attack, there were supposedly about 1,500 soldiers at the range. The evacuation teams were allegedly destroyed in two successive strikes. If the death toll is officially confirmed, it will be the largest single loss of life in the last year of the military conflict.

Locals on social media are reporting that ambulance sirens have been sounding throughout the city all day and hospitals in nearby areas have announced an urgent collection of blood donations. The Ukrainian military leadership has not made any comments yet.
