US actions violate international trade order, China says

The Ministry of Commerce of China firmly opposed the United States’ decision to add several Chinese enterprises to its export control list due to the US stance on Sino-Russian relations, Reuters reported.

On Friday, the US added 105 Russian and Chinese companies to its trade restrictions list in connection with their alleged support for the Russian armed forces. In addition to Russia and China, companies from 18 other countries have also faced sanctions.

The reasons cited by the US for the sanctions include the supply of American electronics to Russian military organisations and the production of thousands of Shahed-136 drones for use in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

The Chinese Ministry stated that the US actions violate the order of international trade and hinder normal economic exchanges, adding that China will take necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights of its companies.
