German auto giant Volkswagen Group has recorded a 0.7% increase in revenue in 2024, bringing the figure to 324.656 billion euros, according to the company’s reporting data.
The concern expects further revenue growth in 2025, assuming an increase of up to 5%. Volkswagen’s operating profit decreased by 15.4% to 19.06 billion euros. At the same time, the level of operating margin fell to 5.9% compared to 7% a year earlier.
Over the past year, vehicle deliveries fell 2.3% to 9.027 million units. Production figures also showed a downturn, with output down 3.8% to 8.954 million vehicles.
For 2024, the company’s management proposed dividends of €6.3 per ordinary share and €6.36 per preference share. This is 30 per cent less than was paid out for the previous year.
Volkswagen forecasts that in 2024 the level of operating margin will be in the range of 5.5 per cent to 6.5 per cent.
