Wagner returns to Ukraine amid fighting for Avdiivka

Mercenaries of Wagner’s Group, also known as the Musicians, were transferred to the Russian National Guard, a Wagner-affiliated Grey Zone Telegram channel reported, according to WAtoday.

Wagner Group has returned to the combat zone in Ukraine. The call out for ‘musicians’ from the reserve and active recruitment will begin shortly.

A Russian military Telegram channel has claimed that Wagner soldiers have been fighting with a unit near Avdiivka in the Donbas region on Putin’s orders.

There were also reports that the mercenaries were re-forming under the leadership of Prigozhin’s son, Pavel. However, it is now reported that they are fighting in Ukraine again.

Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov also stated on Sunday that he had recruited 170 Wagner fighters for the new battalion.

I welcome the decision made by the fighters. Their experience will be in demand in solving assigned problems.

In June, Wagner’s mercenaries drove 200 km towards Moscow before their leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, called off a short-lived uprising attempt. Two months later, his private jet was destroyed with hand grenades on board, according to Putin.
