Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Saree announced that they attacked a US warship with cruise missiles and drones.
In a Sunday statement, Saree said Yemeni forces engaged the USS Harry S. Truman and its escorts in the Red Sea three times within 24 hours.
He accused the US of military aggression and vowed to continue resisting. “With God’s help, our forces are confronting American attacks on Yemen for the third straight week,” he said.
Saree warned that their operations would expand. “We will respond to tension with tension,” he added.
He also reaffirmed support for Palestine. “We will not back down until the aggression ends and the Gaza blockade is lifted,” he stated.
Since 7 October, when Palestinian groups launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against Israel, Yemen has openly supported the Palestinian cause.
