Israel confirms artillery strikes on Lebanon

The conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to spread. On Sunday, the Israeli army confirmed artillery strikes on Lebanese territory in response to an incident on the other side.

Israel earlier declared that the state of Israel is prepared for any scenarios of the conflict and will protect the security of residents in every possible way.

The Israeli military said that forces “are now attacking with artillery fire the area in Lebanon from where shooting was carried out a few minutes ago into Israeli territory.” The Lebanese side has not yet commented on the situation.

Yesterday Hamas launched an attack on a staggering scale in recent years, involving multiple militants, infiltrating Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip. The rapid attack was accompanied by heavy rocket fire.

At least 300 Israelis were killed in the conflict, over 1,500 were injured, and several civilians and soldiers are now in Hamas’ hands. The attacks also killed at least 232 Palestinians.
