The head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell has arrived in Kyiv, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharenko said.
Borrell’s special adviser, diplomat Zaki Laidi, also arrived in the Ukrainian capital, according to the official’s posting on X, which showed an Ukrzaliznytsia train, Ukrinform reports.
Before traveling to Ukraine, the head of European diplomacy stopped in Poland, where he discussed forms of support for Kyiv. He spoke about this during a joint meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski. Diplomats discussed military, financial and reconstruction assistance.
Borrell reminded that the EU should continue to support Ukraine in every possible way, including by increasing the ammunition supply. He expressed the opinion that stopping the supply of arms by the European Union to other countries is the most effective way to increase the supply of ammunition to Kyiv.
