The heads of Kazakhstan and Russia are in talks aimed at discussing further prospects.
During the meeting has been stressed the mutual importance of continuing the same close co-operation in trade and economic, transport and logistics, as well as energy spheres.
Earlier, a solemn ceremony was held on the occasion of launching the transit of Russian natural gas through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan through the Central Asia-Centre main gas pipeline.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of this project in further strengthening regional stability and energy security in Central Asia. It was also stated that this landmark event is a bright page in the history of relations between the three countries.
