Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced on Friday that she is breaking up with Italian journalist Andrea Giambruno after his lewd remarks on a satirical TV show, according to Politico.

Giambruno asked in comments on the broadcast whether he could “touch his package” while talking, asked someone if they were single, and invited a woman to participate in a three-person intercourse.
“I thank him for the splendid years we spent together, for the difficulties we went through, and for giving me the most important thing in my life, which is our daughter Ginevra. Our paths have diverged for some time, and the time has come to acknowledge it.”
Their relationship further deteriorated after Giambruno claimed that young women could avoid rape if they didn’t get drunk and compared migration to the movement of livestock.
Meloni and Giambruno first met in 2015 on the set of a TV programme, with Giambruno as the programme’s scriptwriter and Meloni invited as a guest.
