Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has criticised in his tweet the Republican Party’s approach to the issue of aid to Ukraine.
The politician emphasised that former head of state Ronald Reagan was “turning over in his grave” because Republican senators blocked aid to Ukraine.
On his X page, Tusk wrote:
Dear Republican Senators of America. Ronald Reagan, who helped millions of us to win back our freedom and independence, must be turning in his grave today. Shame on you.
The bill, which Republicans rejected, included an overhaul of US immigration policy and new funding for border security with billions of dollars in emergency aid for Ukraine, Israel and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
