Republicans held the first hearing on Biden’s impeachment

Republicans, with the help of a Congressional Committee, held the first hearing on Joe Biden’s profiteering in business dealings involving his son.

The hearing came a few days before a possible government shutdown as Republicans and Democrats are in a fog over funding the government for the next fiscal year, which begins on the first of October.

While there was no expectation that Republicans would present anything meaningful against the fact that Joe Biden, as vice president, benefited financially from the activities of his son Hunter Biden, they did.

Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican, noted the following in his opening statement:

Today, the House Oversight Committee will examine over two dozen pieces of evidence revealing Joe Biden’s corruption and abuse of public office. This includes emails, text messages, bank records and testimony of Biden business associates.

At the beginning of the hearing, democratic politicians presented a screen with a countdown to 62 hours, after which the government would shut down.

Shortly thereafter, Jamie Raskin, the senior Democratic congressman on the Committee, said that “If the Republicans had a smoking gun or even a dripping water pistol, they would be presenting it today but they’ve got nothing on Joe Biden.”

Though, it was proved to be too precipitate words. Republicans announced the $250,000 had been transferred from China to Biden’s home in Delaware.

Democrats denied the allegation, claiming such attempts to declare Biden impeached were a stunt that Republicans were deliberately attempting to pull to undermine Biden’s campaign.

Over and above Biden’s son was receiving illegal funds, Democrats said it was not true, as Hunter Biden lives with his father and receives payments from very different and numerous countries.

James Comer further noticed that “Biden also lied to the American people about his family making money from China.”

The Senate has a Democrat majority, and one can hardly hope that it will be even remotely close to removing Biden from the presidency.
