Representatives of Turkey and Romania signed a framework military agreement

Turkish National Defence Minister Yasar Guler and his Romanian counterpart Angel Tilvar signed an agreement on military cooperation at a ceremony in the Turkish capital Ankara on Friday.

Güler greeted his counterpart with a military reception at the Defence Ministry.

After the reception, the two defence heads first held a one-on-one meeting before leading inter-ministerial talks.

This year in April Turkey signed a $321 million agreement with Romania to sell Bucharest 18 Bayraktar TB2 drones in a bid to expand relations with eastern European nations in the wake of the Ukraine war.

Bayraktar TB2 is supported by a single engine with two bladed variable pitch propellers. The engine power reaches 100 hp, technically this drone can accelerate at a speed of 129 km per hour. Entering the MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) category, this drone can fly more than 20 hours at an altitude of 6,858 meters. while its cruising range in Line of Sight (LoS) mode reaches 150 km.
